Viktorija Eksta's comment:
This is measurment by the use of sound in this film. Pudovkin and Kuleshov thought a lot about it and created special kinds of graphs.
The story of film is about expedition of new kind of planes around the world. Main groups of heroes are people of expedition, checkists in Moscow and family of aviator Klim.

The measurment is with some little mistakes (do not believe they affect overall statistics much), credits and begining titles omitted.

Categories are:

Talking, Music (instrumental and a tiny episode of singing), Rumour (mostly sounds of planes, storm and Kremlin's carillon), Silent shots,

Talking and Music (M+T), Talking and Rumour (M+R) and Rumour and Music (R+M)

The print of the film that I have (comes from Gosfilmofond in Moscow) lacks the sequence analyzed in Kuleshov's textbook on direction of 1941, where he gives the following graph (see below). Did you find the sequence in your print?

The copy I was working on was dowloaded on the russian torrent website (it is recorded from TV chanenl Dom Kino 2).

I found a precise part of the sequence from the graph in the film - starting from carillon (121) until the end - it depicts how Sasha rushes to his girlfriend and knocks on her door.

In the cinemetrics graph it is shots nr 137 - 146.

About the other part of the graph I think that it is found in modificated version during the episode of start of airplanes. In the film there is music + voice over (Lomov talking).

Shot nr 120 is the moment when Lomov says to Sasha that maybe he'll be the one to do the second flight. In my copy of film it is followed by the episode that happens inside the plane - it is an insert that was done later because after that follows mentioned episode when Sasha goes to the girl.
